SEND Support and Workshops

Work Experience

As a charity with Disability Confident Leader award status at Level 3, we are very aware that work experience can sometimes create concerns for some students with special educational needs.  With this in mind, we have created a half day workshop which addresses those perceived barriers to try and help those particular students gain a meaningful work placement.

The resources for this workshop are at various different learning levels and encompass the four different learning styles to ensure that we are able to engage and inform all young people.

CV Workshop

SEND young people are often very aware that their CV's may not be equal to their peers, or they may not be able to attain the grades needed for their future career goals.

With our hand-holding workshop, we can create a CV with SEND students, demonstrating their strengths and gives them a resume to be proud of.

The practical activities we undertake ensure that they are able to build upon existing skills, raising their self-esteem to help create opportunities to enter the world of work.

IAG Interviews

Interviews can be daunting and we are well aware of the heightened levels of stress that a young person with a disability can experience. Therefore, we can offer tailored guidance packages for SEND young people with a full review action plan, giving them the experience of a careers interview but at a level that is approachable.
